Rebel against skin cancer in Kuwait

Spot the Dot & NNF Agency organised the very first skin cancer awareness campaign in Kuwait on 28-29 September 2018. A group exhibition and party showing the works of 30 national and international artists to start a conversation about the importance of prevention and detection of melanoma and other types of skin cancer. The event took place at Be Cafe, directly at the beach of Kuwait.

In 2017 Get Out Blog – which is based in Kuwait and founded by Nour Alkawass supported Spot the Dot (as a Media Partner) during their exhibition and mural painting in Vienna, Austria. (video link) because they felt drawn to the fun and urban approach to reach out to young people about a rather heavy topic. In 2018 Not Necessarily Famous brought Marije Kruis, the founder of Spot the Dot, to Kuwait to tell her story and give a talk on her experiences with skin cancer as well as the story of Spot the Dot foundation.

Spot the Dot brought artworks with them to exhibit in Kuwait, these artworks will be accompanied by the works and performances of 15 local artists.
